Lukianivka was the hardest hit area in Kyiv following Russia's mass strike. Emergency operations are underway, and local residents are trying to recover from the brutal bombardment.

Crowds of people are arriving at the site of the capital's heaviest strike to take photos and videos and to show solidarity with local residents. Inside the shopping center targeted by the Russian forces, rescue teams are still at work, clearing debris and removing unstable structures.

It has also been confirmed that three people were killed in this neighborhood when a Russian strike hit a residential building. The identities of the victims will be determined via DNA testing.

Residents are currently unable to return to their apartments because of the unsafe condition of the building.

Several houses on a neighboring street were also damaged. Volunteers are working at the scene, while one apartment entrance remains sealed off pending inspections by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and a special commission tasked with determining whether the structure is safe to enter.

The Lukianivka Market was also hit by the Russian strike. Among the few salvaged items are charred money and icons.

"Everything was burned, but I found three of my icons—completely intact," a local woman said.

This is not the first time Russia has targeted Lukianivka; occupying forces have repeatedly struck the area.

The Lukianivska metro station remains operational, which is crucial as it serves as the only bomb shelter in the immediate area.
