The aftermath of the strike on Kharkiv
In Kharkiv, the number of people injured in the morning attack has risen to ten. At least one person is in critical condition. The enemy hit the city’s Industrialnyi district with six guided aerial bombs. A fire broke out at a vehicle depot, and another strike hit a civilian enterprise.
The report comes from a story by TSN correspondent Yulia Boiko.
Kharkiv is under fire again. Around 11 a.m., Russian forces struck one of the city’s districts with six guided bombs. The blast sites show mangled buildings of a civilian enterprise, garages and cars. There are also injured civilians.
The Industrialnyi district of Kharkiv is home to many apartment blocks and civilian facilities. Powerful explosions shook the ground here around midday. People who were at work at the time say the ground shook under their feet, and a thick column of smoke rose over the city, following the enemy strikes.
At least nine people were hurt in the attack. Four men aged 34 to 61 suffered shrapnel wounds. Four women aged 40 to 73 experienced acute stress reactions, and three of the injured were taken to hospital.
“One person is in critical condition in intensive care, and doctors are fighting for his life. This person was hospitalized from this exact location; at the moment of the blast, he was here repairing a vehicle. He received very serious injuries,” said Bohdan Hladkykh, Head of the Emergency Service Department in the Kharkiv region.
The impact sites show destroyed industrial facilities, burned-out garages and damaged vehicles. The trucks stationed here normally delivered food to stores.
Their owners admit they are afraid to even calculate the losses — not only is their property destroyed, but their operations will have to stop.
According to the regional administration, windows were blown out in nearby residential buildings. Law enforcement officers are examining the strike locations to assess the full scale of the damage.
