Russian Shaheds have become more dangerous than missiles — not because of their individual combat power, but due to the sheer scale of their use across Ukraine.

Civic activist and volunteer Serhiy Sternenko made this warning in an interview with TSN journalist Nataliia Nahorna.

He explained that Russia cannot launch 50 ballistic missiles at once.

“They no longer fire cruise missiles in such numbers either — especially after Operation Spiderbweb — because they’ve run into problems with their launch platforms. But with Shaheds, we’ve seen nights when they launched 200 or even 300 drones at once — plus the so-called Gerbera variants, which are essentially the same UAVs deployed in the same attacks.”

When one or two missiles target a site, or when 20–30 Shaheds attack the same target, the drones are more dangerous because their sheer numbers can break through air defenses, Serhiy Sternenko explained.
