DTEK CEO Maksym Tymchenko calls on foreign investors to invest in Ukrainian projects.

He made this statement in an interview with Rzeczpospolita.

“For many months, investors perceived us solely as a war zone, but now we see a shift in perception — from a country at war to a country of opportunities. Investors are starting to ask more questions, they’re becoming more specific, requesting support in exploring opportunities, and some are even beginning to invest as capital partners,” he said.

Tymchenko expresses hope that these intentions will come to fruition and direct foreign investments will begin entering Ukraine.

“My message is always this: look at Ukraine differently and seize the advantage of being among the first. Ukraine is a large country where procedures are less bureaucratic than in the EU, and it’s easier to build something. You supported Ukraine during the most difficult period of our lives — during this war — and now it’s time for us to show our gratitude. So, if we implement joint investments in Ukraine to strengthen Europe’s energy security, it will be our contribution in return for your support,” he emphasized.

The DTEK CEO notes that investors should first approach Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy, which can guide them toward attractive projects.

Tymchenko adds that for investments in the energy sector, investors can contact DTEK for information about the energy industry.

“Don’t be afraid to come to Kyiv. Since we have invested 1.2 billion euros and are building such large projects during the war, this is the best proof that it’s possible, not to mention what will be possible after the war,” he concluded.
