Real GDP is forecast to rise by 2% next year, compared with an earlier government estimate of 2.7%.

This was stated by Economy, Environment and Agriculture Minister Oleksiy Sobolev.

“This year we expect GDP growth of 2%, driven in particular by industry, manufacturing, the energy sector and agriculture,” the minister said.

Sobolev made the announcement after meetings in New York with key public-market investors including Balyasny, Lazard, JPMorgan, PIMCO, Vanguard and HSBC.

He said the discussions focused on priority sectors for attracting investment and on the work of the U.S.–Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund, which has already secured an initial $150 million in capital from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and the Ukrainian government, opening new opportunities for investors.
