The Geneva talks on ending the war in Ukraine are ongoing, with a bilateral meeting now underway between the Ukrainian and U.S. delegations. The sides aim to coordinate mechanisms for Ukraine’s economic support, discuss humanitarian issues, and plan future contacts with Russia.
The information was shared by the Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, on his Telegram channel.
On the U.S. side, the talks involve Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The Ukrainian delegation, besides the defense minister, comprises David Arakhamia, Oleksii Sobolev, and Darina Marchak.
Working with the government’s economic team, delegates are reviewing the prosperity package, covering investment tools, economic support, and long-term reconstruction plans for Ukraine.

A crucial part of the meeting focuses on humanitarian issues. The defense minister says Ukraine aims to secure tangible results on potential prisoner swaps and the rapid return of its citizens.
