Claims that the West is supposedly tired of Ukraine are incorrect. On the contrary, allies are becoming even more aware of the threat posed by Russia.
Head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak stated this, following the NATO summit in The Hague.
Yermak was asked whether there is a risk of Ukraine fatigue in the West.
«No, we clearly heard at the NATO summit that Ukraine’s security equals Europe’s security,» he assured.
The head of the Presidential Office emphasized that Ukraine has «excellent cooperation» with its allies, investments in its defense industry, NATO support, and «constructive engagement with the U.S.»
According to Yermak, the narrative about the West being tired of Ukraine is being pushed by the Russians, who are trying to portray the war as a regional conflict.
«But Russia’s war against Ukraine is a confrontation between autocracies and the West. And we clearly know — and heard it from the U.S. leader — that it is not out of the question that Russia may covet something in Europe. There is no fatigue, and we should not be talking about it. Everyone increasingly understands the threat, and no one is thinking about fatigue,» Andriy Yermak concluded.
