Russian forces are trying to maintain the pace of their offensive in the east. The occupiers aim to break through toward Dnipropetrovsk region and establish full control over Donetsk region.

This was reported by military expert Pavlo Lakiychuk during a broadcast on the TV channel FREEDOM.

The Russian army is advancing along a wide front — from Lyman in the north of Donetsk region to Novopavlivka, which borders Zaporizhzhia. According to the expert, the entire Donbas is under intense pressure.

“The Pokrovsk direction. I would place the Novopavlivka direction in second place. The enemy is close to breaking through our defenses there and pushing our forces back a significant distance. The main objective of the Russians is to cut the Pokrovsk–Pavlohrad highway and reach the administrative borders of Dnipropetrovsk region,” Lakiychuk emphasized.

In the Toretsk and Chasiv Yar directions, heavy positional fighting continues. No major changes have occurred in these sectors recently.

The Russian army's daily losses at the front range from 900 to 1,200 killed and wounded, but "this figure is not enough."

“The number of resources and reserves Russia can throw into the war against Ukraine depends on the efficiency of its mobilization system. If their capabilities and throughput exceed daily losses, then resources will accumulate, and Russia will continue to have forces to deploy to the front again and again,” Lakiychuk added.
