Putin lies, but Trump doesn’t react: Kuleba explains the uniqueness of the situation between the leaders
Despite joint efforts by Ukraine and its European allies, Donald Trump has still not taken concrete steps in response to deception by the Russian dictator.

This was stated by former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in an interview on the YouTube channel Moseichuk Podcast.
“Trump’s frustration with Putin doesn’t translate into action against Putin. Over the last four months, we’ve seen how our president and European leaders rallied to prove to Trump that Putin is lying. Signals came from Washington indicating that Trump was angry with Putin, that Putin was lying. Then we saw Trump’s tweets,” Kuleba said.
He emphasizes that the situation is unique: Ukraine and Europe succeeded in convincing the U.S. president of Putin’s dishonesty — but it still hasn’t led to any action.
“Together with Europe, we convinced Trump that Putin is lying to him — and that is undoubtedly a victory — but at the same time, we still haven’t managed to get him to act on it. And how to make that final push — frankly, we don’t yet see a way,” Kuleba admitted.
