Yury Ushakov, an aide to the Russian leader, says that at this stage there is «no compromise option» for a plan to resolve the war against Ukraine.
Russian state media reported this.
According to him, Moscow has received a number of proposals from the American side, but considers them inconsistent.
«There is still no compromise option. The Americans have put forward some proposals — part of them is acceptable to us, and part is not, ” Ushakov said.
He did not clarify which elements Russia views as «acceptable» or «unacceptable.»
Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin met with a U.S. delegation that included U.S. presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
