Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov defiantly claims that the war they initiated against Ukraine "can be resolved through political and diplomatic methods."
The head of the aggressor state's foreign ministry made these remarks during a forum.
According to Lavrov, Russia "will not stop at the current front line as a precondition for launching peace talks on Ukraine."
He brazenly spoke of Moscow’s allegedly "fruitless persuasions and warnings" and the "adversaries'" supposed disregard for warnings against "creating unacceptable threats to the national security" of the Russian Federation.
Lavrov reiterated a routine narrative regarding the "spirit of Anchorage," where Russian "fuhrer" Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump had supposedly "reached a number of understandings on political pathways" toward peace in Ukraine.
"We remain committed to these understandings," the minister falsely stated.
Furthermore, Lavrov defiantly warned that Moscow would not accept temporary solutions regarding Ukraine, adding that the Kremlin "will not agree to any ultimatums."
"For Russia, this issue [the solution regarding Ukraine] is of paramount importance. And we will certainly not settle for any temporary or interim solutions," he bluntly stated.
