The Ukrainian president said he believes the war can be brought to an end through diplomatic means and called for more active efforts on peace solutions.

Zelenskyy made the statement on social media.

According to him, Ukraine seeks peace more than Russia, despite the Kremlin’s attempts to present the situation differently.

“I believe there are prospects for a peaceful settlement in Russia’s war against Ukraine. Ukraine wants peace, President Trump wants peace — so we are allies on this issue,” Zelenskyy said.

He added that Russia is trying to manipulate signals to the United States and create the impression that it is seeking negotiations.

“This is not true, it is manipulation. I very much want America to believe us, because we are partners,” he said.

Zelenskyy also said Ukraine continues to work daily on options for a peace agreement and plans further consultations with the U.S.

“We have several more ideas on how we can force this war to end,” the president said.
