Ukrainian intelligence is recording a significant deterioration of the situation in Russia following a series of long-range strikes on its territory, as well as rising anxiety levels among Russians, which, according to internal Russian documents, exceed those recorded during the Kursk operation.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this, citing data from Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service.
According to him, the Foreign Intelligence Service has obtained documents indicating a «virtually daily deepening crisis in fuel supply, military logistics, and governance» in the temporarily occupied territories, including Crimea.
«The Russian occupying administration explicitly and unequivocally admits its inability to resolve the issues triggered by our medium-range sanctions against the occupier, as well as the execution of our long-range sanctions strategy, primarily targeting Russian oil refining,» Zelenskyy stated.
He further noted that similar trends are unfolding across other Russian regions, where economic and social grievances continue to mount.
Turning to public sentiment within Russia, the president highlighted figures from internal Russian tracking reports, noting that public anxiety has crossed the 50% threshold—surpassing the peak seen during Ukraine’s Kursk offensive.
«Sixty-six percent of Russians describe their financial situation as difficult, while over 80% view a large-scale economic crisis in Russia as inevitable,» Zelenskyy said, adding that these metrics «reflect the failure of Putin’s wartime policies.»
