Russian retreat from Kinburn Spit: Ukrainian military sets the record straight

Information is circulating online claiming that Russian troops have allegedly retreated from the Kinburn Spit and that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have launched offensive operations in this sector. However, these reports are not officially confirmed at this time.

This was reported by DeepState analysts.

According to available data, Russian units continue to hold positions on the Kinburn Spit. Moreover, the occupiers persist in using this territory to launch Molniya type drones toward Mykolaiv and Kherson, as well as deploying electronic warfare and electronic intelligence systems.

At the same time, Ukrainian forces continue to strike Russian targets and create maximum disruption to the occupiers' activities in the area.

Reports regarding the alleged start of a Ukrainian offensive on the Kinburn Spit are also unconfirmed. The Ukrainian flag mentioned on social media, which appeared over the spit’s territory, was delivered by a drone rather than planted as a result of troops advancing.

Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, also refuted reports of a potential Russian withdrawal. In a commentary for Suspilne, he said that the Kinburn Spit remains an active combat zone and the situation there has not changed significantly.

Currently, there are no grounds to speak of the liberation of the Kinburn Spit or a retreat of occupying forces. The situation in this sector remains tense, and any information regarding potential changes requires official confirmation.
