Russia may be preparing provocations using Polish symbols on Ukrainian territory

Russia is likely preparing provocations involving the use of Polish symbols and plans to carry them out on the territory of Ukraine. According to available data, the respective task may have been assigned to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian General Staff (GRU).

The information was reported by Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation.

According to sources, such actions may be timed to coincide with the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which is taking place on June 25–26 in Gdansk, Poland.

According to preliminary information, the purpose of the potential provocations is an attempt to sow distrust between Ukraine and Poland, as well as to create additional political tension in relations between the countries.

"The enemy's main goal is political destabilization, creating tension and a rift between Poland and Ukraine," the Center stressed.
