Prisoner swap: Zelenskyy reveals details
Among the Ukrainian citizens scheduled to be swapped for Russians will be, in particular, Crimean Tatar political and religious prisoners.

A new prisoner swap could happen by the end of 2025, bringing back Ukrainian soldiers and civilians held by the aggressor state.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this at a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his visit to Türkiye.
According to him, among the Ukrainian citizens to be exchanged for Russians will be, in particular, Crimean Tatar political and religious prisoners.
«We hope to resume prisoner swaps and return a large number of captives by the end of the year. Türkiye is giving us strong support in this, ” Zelenskyy stressed.
He added that work continues to bring back Ukrainian children taken to Russia by the occupiers.
Zelenskyy further revealed that he discussed diplomatic paths toward a peaceful settlement with the Turkish President.
«Many processes have intensified recently. We are striving to ensure that all efforts are focused on peace, on a dignified peace and guaranteed security. The war must end. There is no alternative to peace, ” the Ukrainian leader stressed.
The Ukrainian President also outlined the expected outcomes of a peace deal. «Russia must realize that there can be no reward for waging war and committing killings, ” Zelenskyy stated.
