Ukraine holding talks with Russia: Umerov reveals the topics
Ukraine is negotiating with Russia not on ending the war, but on the humanitarian part, in particular the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war.

National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov said this to CNN.
The NSDC secretary responded to a journalist’s question about whether talks between Ukraine and Russia on ending the war are ongoing.
“At the moment we continue the humanitarian part, where we are releasing prisoners of war,” Umerov said.
He also stressed that, on the other side, leaders of European Union countries together with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Washington, where agreements were reached on holding bilateral and trilateral meetings.
“So at this stage, I think we are waiting for the trilateral and bilateral meetings to take place,” the NSDC secretary added.
