The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reacted to the false statement of Russian president Vladimir Putin about the causes of the war, which the dictator referred to as the “Ukrainian crisis.”
The corresponding post was published online by MFA spokesman Heorhiy Tykhyi.
Tykhyi directly accused Putin of lying.
“Of course, the "insidious West" provoked "poor Russia" to attack its neighbor and commit hundreds of thousands of war crimes. Putin is gradually losing his skill in lying — his repetitive fabrications are becoming increasingly boring,” the MFA spokesman’s statement reads.
He emphasized that the only remedy against such lies is pressure on Moscow.
