Ukraine submits a proposal for an energy truce to the aggressor, the Russian Federation.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this during his evening address.
According to him, Kyiv has repeatedly urged Moscow to halt attacks, “at least for Easter, during this special time of year”.
"If Russia is ready to stop strikes on our energy infrastructure, we are ready to respond in kind. This proposal of ours has reached the Russian side through the Americans," the head of state emphasized.
Easter truce
Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is still awaiting a response from Russia regarding the Easter truce. According to him, Kyiv submitted its request to partners from the US, who can act as mediators in delivering this "message" to the Kremlin.
