"Sooner than many expect": Chalyi says when Russia could attack NATO country

Russia could attack a NATO member state, with an invasion potentially coming sooner than many expect, said Valerii Chaly, a Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States from 2015 to 2019.

“They will attack one of the NATO countries directly. They will do it not when they are ready, but when Europeans are still unprepared. All discussions about two or three years should be left in the past. It could happen much sooner,” he said.

He said Ukraine should receive increased military support to prevent the war from spreading.
