Yermak discussed further negotiations with Russia with Rubio

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, met in Washington with U.S. Secretary of State and acting National Security Advisor Marco Rubio.

He reported this on his Telegram channel, posting relevant photographs.

According to Yermak, during the meeting, the parties discussed the situation on the front line and the urgent need to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense support.

«We also exchanged views on the meetings with the Russians in Istanbul, the further course of negotiations, a future prisoner exchange, and the importance of returning all hostages and children abducted by Russia, ” the head of the Presidential Office said.

Yermak noted that during the talks with Rubio, he emphasized that Ukraine has done «everything possible to achieve peace» and is ready for a ceasefire, but Russia refuses.

«That is why additional sanctions are necessary, ” he added.
