The Ukrainian delegation has departed for the U.S., where negotiations are set to take place on Saturday, March 21.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in his address on Thursday, March 19.

According to him, Ukraine has received signals from the American side about readiness to continue work within existing negotiation formats aimed at ending Russia’s war against Ukraine.

«There has been a pause in negotiations, and it is time to resume them. We are doing everything to ensure the talks are substantive. The Ukrainian team — specifically the political part of the negotiating group — is already on its way, and we expect a meeting in the United States this Saturday, ” the president said.

He added that he had discussed the agenda with Rustem Umerov, Kyrylo Budanov and David Arakhamia. Serhii Kyslytsia will also take part.

«Our priority is to do everything possible to achieve a just peace. And I thank everyone who helps in this effort, ” Zelenskyy added.
