President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized U.S. Vice President JD Vance over his push to terminate aid to Ukraine, stating such a move only serves Russian interests.

He said this during an interview with Newsmax.

President Zelenskyy emphasized that regardless of how events unfold, Russia remains an enemy to the United States.

«I disagree with the Vice President. We are open. We are not enemies. Russia is the enemy and will always remain the enemy of the United States. Cold war, hot war—God forbid, no war—but they are not allies,» he stressed.

The President further noted that cooperation between the two nations should be built on mutual benefit rather than searching for ways to cut off support.

«I am confident that the United States is a great partner for Ukraine, and Ukrainians, in turn, can strengthen the US. In business, they call it a win-win. So why not win?» he added.

Zelenskyy concluded that taking pride in withholding aid from a country fighting aggression effectively plays into the Kremlin’s plans.
