The upcoming Alaska summit, security guarantees, and funding for Ukraine’s drone production topped the agenda of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

After the talks, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said they discussed expectations for the Alaska summit and potential outcomes.
The Head of State informed about this on the Internet.
The Ukrainian leader described the meeting with Starmer as “good and useful.” In a bilateral format, the two discussed their expectations for the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian president Vladimir Putin in Alaska and possible scenarios.
“We also discussed in detail the security guarantees that could make peace truly sustainable, if the United States manages to push Russia to stop the killings and move to genuine, substantive diplomacy. It is important that we, as part of a coalition of the willing, can achieve effective security frameworks,” Zelenskyy wrote.
Zelenskyy and Starmer also discussed continuing programs to support Ukraine’s army and the country’s defense production.
“Under any scenario, Ukraine will maintain its strength,” the Ukrainian leader stressed.
The politicians also talked about arms supply channels such as the PURL program, with Zelenskyy inviting Britain to join.
“Of course, we discussed our century-long agreement. In August, Ukraine is preparing to ratify it, and as a result, we will be able to hold an expanded Ukraine–Britain meeting,” the President announced.
A separate and important point on the agenda, Zelenskyy said, was investment in Ukraine’s drone production. The country, he noted, has significant potential to expand such production and urgently needs funding to do so.
“Drones play a decisive role on the front line. Ukraine’s ability to produce them is extraordinary. Therefore, investment in such production can truly influence the situation at a strategic level,” the President explained.
