Zelenskyy names key condition for war’s end

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is convinced that the war will end when a joint front of U.S. President Donald Trump and European partners forces Russian dictator Vladimir Putin into real dialogue.

He said this in an interview with Tagesschau.

Conditions for ending the war

Zelenskyy stated that the end of the war is possible when Trump acts in coordination with European partners. He said a united U.S. and European stance could “put Putin in his place” and force him to engage in negotiations that deliver results.

“The result can only be one — a ceasefire, even if there is no peace treaty, just a truce agreement with corresponding measures from the U.S. and other partners. I mean security guarantees,” the president of Ukraine stressed.
