The massive strike by the Russian terrorist army on Ukraine on the night of August 28 indicates that the Kremlin’s goals remain unchanged, and Russian president Vladimir Putin has no desire for peace.

This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address on Thursday, August 28.

“They want to fight, targeting not only our people, not only our cities and communities. Russia is now striking at everyone in the world who seeks peace,” he said.

The Ukrainian leader noted that this attack was directed not only at Ukraine but also at Europe and U.S. President Donald Trump.

“In Washington, we heard that Putin was supposedly ready to end the war — ready for a leaders’ meeting to resolve key issues. But he chooses ballistics instead of any real steps toward peace. He kills children to avoid discussing when and how peace will come. The problem is that he is not afraid to strike at those leaders to whom he makes promises,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President of Ukraine urged world leaders to deliver a clear response to “this evil.”

“There are no deadlines that Putin hasn’t violated. There are no diplomatic opportunities that haven’t been ruined by Russia. Strong steps are needed. I thank everyone who understands this. Sanctions are needed. Tariffs are needed on those who sponsor this war,” Zelenskyy stated.
