Zelenskyy confirmed that NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov and Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov have flown to the U.S. for meetings with the American delegation on the peace plan.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine.

“Our delegation held several meetings in Florida with the American side. We prepared a number of decisions and proposals reflecting our perspective, together with them,” the President of Ukraine said.

He added that right after negotiations with the Ukrainian side, the U.S. delegation headed to Russia.

“I can’t honestly say what was discussed there or whether it was in a constructive format,” Zelenskyy said.

He stressed the agreements on upcoming talks between Ukraine and partner countries.

“We agreed to go over some sensitive matters with the 3+ countries in a wider format in Brussels… After the American side, and following the meeting in Russia, our two delegations will meet in the U.S.,” Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy confirmed that Umerov and Hnatov had already departed for the U.S.

“I’ll get more information, a broader picture, after their meeting, and they will call me,” the President said.

On the timing of the next contact with the American delegation, he added: “Probably today… I think today, maybe tomorrow.”
