The incident involving explosives near the pipeline connecting Hungary and Serbia—a segment of the TurkStream network—may be a Russian operation designed to interfere in the Hungarian parliamentary elections, scheduled for April 12.

Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi made the statement on his official account on X.

The official categorically rejected what he described as «groundless attempts to link Ukraine to the incident involving explosives found near the TurkStream pipeline in Serbia.»

«Ukraine has absolutely nothing to do with this. Most likely, this is a Russian false-flag operation as part of Moscow’s massive interference in the Hungarian elections,» Tykhyi suggested.
