Damaged Holy Dormition Men’s Monastery in Odesa
Residential buildings at the Holy Dormition Men’s Monastery were damaged and windows shattered in the attack overnight into January 28.
The monastery’s dean, Archimandrite Isaia, spoke about the attack, Radio Svoboda reports.
“It was a very frightening night. Overnight into January 28, the Russian Federation once again carried out this shameful act. Several dozen “Shahed” drones struck almost the same place. There are some injured, unfortunately, but thank God, everyone is alive. We provided first aid to all those injured,” the Archimandrite Isaia said.
Many windows and doors were blown out in the monastery, and some residential buildings are currently uninhabitable. This is the third attempt to intimidate the monastery.
“We condemn this shameful act. The Church is always with the people. We support them and will always stand by them in difficult times. This is already the third attempt to intimidate our monastery,” Isaia added.
Journalists shared images showing the damage caused by the attacks.
