Activities of the Andrii Matiukha Foundation: Supporting Veterans, Humanitarian Projects, and Hospitals
The Andrii Matiukha Foundation develops charitable projects. Its main areas of activity include support for military personnel and veterans, assistance to hospitals, development of prosthetics, and support for civilians affected by shelling. Additionally, the foundation supports international projects to strengthen Ukraine’s cooperation with global partners.

In the near future, the project plans to reach at least 5,000 users, half of whom will be guided from the initial consultation to prosthesis fitting.
Andrii Matiukha Foundation Supports the “Protect Ukrenergo Repair Workers” Program
The Andrii Matiukha Foundation supported the “Protect Ukrenergo Repair Workers” initiative. Its goal is to provide technical staff and repair teams with practical first aid knowledge. A total of 75 one-day training sessions are planned, involving approximately 1,500 company employees.
Energy workers are trained to stop massive bleeding, correctly apply tourniquets, perform CPR, and assess the condition of the injured before medical personnel arrive.
Since the full-scale war began, Ukraine’s energy system has been under constant threat. Over 63,000 facilities have been damaged, at least 160 specialists have died, and more than 300 have been injured. Every day, repair workers operate on critical infrastructure despite high risks of shelling. This is why the Andrii Matiukha Foundation supports the program, ensuring first aid knowledge becomes a mandatory part of Ukrainian energy workers’ training.
Children’s Hospital Receives Modern Equipment with the Support of Andrii Matiukha
Supporting medical institutions is another key area of the Andrii Matiukha Foundation’s work. In 2025, the emergency surgery department of Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital received Ligasure Mariland and Ligasure Exact instruments with nano-coating. These technologies enable doctors to perform open and laparoscopic surgeries with less trauma.
The department performs approximately 800 surgeries annually, making such equipment essential. Within just a few months of receiving the new instruments, doctors conducted over 60 successful operations.
This is not the Andrii Matiukha Foundation’s first contribution. Previously, Okhmatdyt received the Thompson system for open surgeries. Surgeons have performed over a hundred complex procedures with it, calling it indispensable in daily practice.
Andrii Matiukha Supported the “Buy a Lot” Initiative
The charitable foundation participated in organizing the “Buy a Lot” auction, which united FC Dynamo, the Ukrainian journalists’ national team, and the news agency “News Center.” The initiative aims to build an inclusive sports playground in Zhytomyr at a rehabilitation and palliative care center for children.
Andrii Matiukha supports such projects because combining sports and charity produces tangible results. This synergy benefits both the event participants and the children who require special conditions for development and socialization.
Andrii Matiukha Foundation Joins the Humanitarian Project Origami for Ukraine
In spring 2025, the facade of the Kyiv Museum was decorated with 5,000 metallic birds, created by Belgian designer Charles Kaisin with the participation of Ukrainian schoolchildren.
The main goal of the initiative is to raise funds for wounded soldiers. The project can be supported either by making a donation or purchasing one of the birds for 10 euros. Over 50,000 euros have already been raised, which will be transferred to Kyiv’s rehabilitation center.
This initiative demonstrates how art can serve both as an aesthetic phenomenon and as a charitable tool, capable of uniting cities, attracting public attention, and providing tangible benefits.
Systematic Work of the Andrii Matiukha Foundation with a View to the Future
The Andrii Matiukha Foundation combines various areas of activity, but all share a common goal — creating long-term change. Each initiative is designed to have a systemic effect and develop new approaches to assistance.
Since its inception, the organization has focused on several key areas: support, rehabilitation, and reintegration of veterans; development of projects that strengthen the country’s defense capabilities; and humanitarian programs in medicine, education, culture, and science. An important focus is international cooperation, which opens new opportunities for Ukraine.
“Assistance must be the foundation for the future. The foundation has all the resources to plan ahead and act systematically,” emphasizes Andrii Matiukha.
