The Thompson retractor system is an advanced solution for surgeons. Its main advantages include:

  • a wide field of view;

  • optimized workflow for surgical teams;

  • reduced anesthesia time for children;

  • delicate tissue handling — especially important for newborns;

  • reduced physical strain on the surgeon.

The full system cost over UAH 2.2 million. However, investment in children’s health is always priceless.

“We had no doubts — children are involved. It’s our shared responsibility to provide doctors with high-quality tools,” emphasized Andrii Matiukha.

The foundation is known for its systematic contribution to healthcare. The Thompson system purchase is no exception — it continues the foundation’s commitment to supporting hospitals, especially pediatric ones.

This time, in partnership with Good Donations, doctors received a complete system that will serve them for many years.

Over 300 surgeries are performed annually at the emergency department. Each of them will now be more precise and safer.
