Battles for Pokrovsk: DeepState warns of critical situation around city

Russian forces have gradually been strengthening their positions around Pokrovsk in recent months, systematically infiltrating deeper into the city and expanding their reconnaissance and sabotage operations. The situation is on the verge of critical.

«The enemy has managed to pull several hundred infantrymen into the city and continues to seep deeper into the settlement and expand its reconnaissance and sabotage activities, ” the report says.

Several factors have enabled this advance:

• a discovered weak point (Zvirove, Shevchenko and the area along the railway from Kotlyne to Pokrovsk itself);

• realizing its numerical infantry advantage and Ukraine’s shortage;

• false reporting by some brigade commanders defending southern Pokrovsk.

According to the OSINT analysts, the intensive work of reconnaissance and sabotage groups and the mass use of infantry have allowed the occupiers to identify weak points in the defense on the southern approaches to the city. According to available information, the enemy systematically sets up ambushes on movements of our units, mines supply routes, and engages in combat with rear support — EW, artillery, mortars and drones. Enemy positions have already been established on Pokrovsk’s southern outskirts.

Unfortunately, the enemy has managed to disrupt logistics toward Myrnohrad and the entire urban agglomeration.

«In addition to infantry ambushes, enemy drones are highly active, monitoring and striking movements to positions, supplies and so on. Enemy drone operators have significantly stepped up their activity once infantry began infiltrating the city, helping destroy our logistics to enable the gradual absorption of the city, ” the analysts stated.

DeepState emphasizes that it is currently critically important to block infiltration routes and conduct comprehensive clearing of affected areas — specifically organized by brigade-level forces, not only small groups.

«The situation in Pokrovsk is on the verge of critical and continues to deteriorate to a point where it may soon be too late to fix everything, ” the analysts concluded.
