Devastating strike on Kharkiv: 57 people injured, damage reported (photos)

As a result of the Russian attack on Kharkiv on the evening of October 13, 57 people—patients from the damaged medical facility—suffered injuries. Beyond the healthcare center, a dormitory, enterprise, educational institution, power grids, and dozens of automobiles were also hit.

Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office and Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Synehubov reported this.

According to investigators, the Russian military unleashed an airstrike on Kharkiv's Saltivskyi district around 9:50 p.m. on October 13. Preliminary information indicate that the occupiers deployed FAB-250/500 guided bombs. The strike inflicted damage on a medical facility, garage bays, 19 vehicles, and the premises of a civilian enterprise.

Synehubov said that the enemy also targeted Kyivskyi district in Kharkiv with drones. The administration chief specified that across the city, a dormitory, enterprise, educational facility, hospital, outbuilding, two non-residential structures, power networks, and 24 vehicles were impacted.

Prosecutors noted that 57 hospital patients were affected: 51 experienced acute stress reactions, while six others sustained shrapnel wounds from shattered glass. Meanwhile, Synehubov posted online that in Kharkiv, men aged 79 and 68, along with women aged 75, 73, 44, 69, and 74, were injured, and 50 hospital patients endured acute stress responses.

Prosecutors and police investigators documented the aftermath of the Russian military’s war crime, collected evidence, and identified the victims. A pretrial investigation has been launched into the perpetration of a war crime.
