Russian occupiers shot four Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Kharkiv region.

This information is confirmed by the Office of the Prosecutor General and the Joint Forces Group.

The incident occurred on April 11 near the settlement of Veterynarne, Kharkiv region.

The occupiers stormed the positions, took four soldiers from one of the separate mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine prisoner, and then deliberately shot them with automatic weapons.

"Near the village of Veterynarne, Russian occupiers shot four Ukrainian POWs—unarmed, after capture. This happened during the Easter truce declared by Russia itself. Executions of prisoners are a systemic practice of the Russian army, sanctioned by its command," the Joint Forces Group stated.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine stress that the enemy's actions are a gross violation of the Geneva Convention.
