On the night of March 7, the Russian army launched a large-scale missile and drone attack on Kharkiv. One missile struck a residential apartment building in the city’s Kyivskyi district. Emergency rescue operations at the site have been completed.

This was reported by Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

“Bodies and fragments of bodies found under the rubble indicate that the death toll currently stands at 11 people. A more precise figure will be possible after examinations are carried out,” the mayor said.

However, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synehubov, said rescuers had found 10 bodies under the rubble of the five-storey building, including two children: a seven-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl.

“Body fragments were also found, so the final number of victims will be determined after the relevant examinations,” he added.

The regional administration said about 20 buildings, cars and an educational facility were damaged in the overnight attack.
