Ukraine’s upcoming heating season may be under extreme pressure due to the threat of new strikes on energy infrastructure.

As Serhii Nahorniak, a member of parliament from the Servant of the People party, said on Ranok.LIVE, the Russian army continues to deliberately target energy facilities, focusing specifically on large urban centers.

He says that Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odesa are in the high-risk zone. These cities are seen as primary targets for strikes on critical infrastructure.

"In my opinion, next winter will be tough. It will definitely be difficult because the Russians are not stopping and are methodically destroying our infrastructure. The hardest situation may occur in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odesa, as the enemy has concentrated its efforts on these cities. Kyiv depends heavily on three thermal power plants that provide both heat and electricity. These facilities have already sustained serious damage, and their restoration takes time," he said.

Nahorniak also estressed that even the strongest air defense systems cannot guarantee full protection against massive strikes.
