Russia strikes regional capital from early morning: Multiple districts hit, impacts reported — details
Russian UAVs have been swarming the city since early morning, with impact sites confirmed across several districts.

On the morning of May 1, the Russian army attacked Kharkiv. An air raid alert was declared in the regional capital at 6:09 a.m. The city remains under a drone assault.
This was reported by Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
«A hostile drone attack on Kharkiv is underway—stay alert. The massive UAV strike has resulted in casualties,» the mayor said.
Oleh Synehubov, Head of the Regional Military Administration added that at least one person has been hospitalized so far.
«A 36-year-old man was injured in the Saltivskyi district following the enemy strike. Preliminary reports indicate he sustained shrapnel wounds,» Synehubov stated.
The aftermath of the Kharkiv strikes
In the Kholodnohirskyi district, a UAV strike severely damaged an administrative building. Emergency crews are currently on-site, and efforts to deal with the aftermath of the strike are ongoing.
Furthermore, the city authorities reported that several enemy drones hit a gas station in the Kyivskyi district.
«Several vehicles and the gas station building were damaged. As for casualties, no information has been received so far, ” Terekhov said.
Later, local authorities reported that strikes were recorded in the Saltivskyi, Nemyshlianskyi, and Slobidskyi districts of the city.
