"Order to clear out everyone": Ukrainian soldier describes situation on Pokrovsk front

Russian forces have sharply intensified pressure on the front line, focusing their main efforts on the Pokrovsk front, where more than 40% of all assault actions are now taking place. Around 40 units from Russia’s Defence Ministry and special forces from various agencies have been deployed in these offensive operations.

Ukrainian soldier Stanislav Bunyatov, call sign Osman, from the Aidar battalion, reported this on his Telegram channel.

“A captured occupier said there’s an order to clear out everyone, and those who aren’t found by the end of the "operation" will get to record a video for a channel with a loaf of bread and a bottle of water,” the soldier said.

According to him, Russia’s army has a numerical advantage but has also changed its approach to combat, working similarly to how it did in Toretsk.

“They mostly try to move deeper in and entrench in buildings for ambushes instead of pushing frontal assaults. The occupiers complain about constant friendly fire in urban areas and about our drones, which, they say, operate far more intensively than theirs. That’s why losses in their assault units are enormous.”

Due to logistical difficulties on both sides, supplies are mostly delivered on foot. The overall situation in the area remains unfavorable for Ukraine’s Defense Forces because of the enemy’s numerical superiority.
