Russian forces attacked a civilian merchant vessel near Odesa. The ship was navigating the maritime corridor toward the regional center to be loaded with grain.
This was reported by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
Consequences of the strike
It has been confirmed that a fire broke out on board following the attack, and the navigation system was disabled. The crew managed to extinguish the fire on their own. A cutter has been dispatched to escort the vessel.
Fortunately, there were no casualties.
«This is yet another Russian war crime against global food security!» the Ministry stressed.
