Russia attacks DTEK thermal power plant and coal enrichment facility within 24 hours

«On the eve of the heating season, Russia carried out another terrorist attack on Ukraine’s energy sector. Late in the evening of October 7, one of DTEK’s thermal power plants came under attack, ” the company said.

Two energy workers were injured in the strike.

At the same time, Russian forces launched a massive assault on DTEK’s coal enrichment plant, causing systematic destruction to the facility. Workers were sheltering during the attack, and no casualties were reported.

DTEK reports that this was the third large-scale strike on the enterprise in the past month and a half. The previous attacks took place on August 26 and September 8.
