On Friday evening, December 19, Russian forces carried out a large-scale missile attack on a port in Odesa district, setting cargo trucks ablaze in a parking lot.
Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper reported the attack.
“Sadly, seven people were killed. Fifteen others were wounded and hospitalized. Doctors are providing all necessary assistance to the victims,” local emergency services said.
Rescue and emergency operations are being hampered by an air raid alert that remains in effect. The site is under Ukrainian control, with work ongoing to deal with the aftermath of the strike and secure the area.
