Units of the Russian army crossed the Ukrainian state border south of Milove and carried out active assault operations overnight.
This was reported on Thursday, September 11, by Yuri Fedorenko, Commander of the 429th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment “Achilles,” during an interview on Espreso TV.
“The Ukrainian Defense Forces met the enemy with combat, and as a result, the opponent was unable to break through the border to any significant extent,” he said.
The Ukrainian officer added that the heavy and fierce fighting near Milove lasted all night.

At the same time, he said that Ukrainian defenders managed to block the enemy’s advance in the city of Kupiansk and clear the areas where the Russian occupiers had managed to establish positions.
“On the northwestern outskirts of the city, we have also brought under fire control those areas where the enemy is attempting the most concentrated crossings from the left to the right bank,” Fedorenko reported.
He clarified that the enemy has not established a standard pontoon crossing and is using a rope stretched across the river, as well as boats and rafts.
