Overnight into October 17, the Russian army targeted Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk region with drones, resulting in over a dozen strikes on infrastructure sites, with no reports of casualties.

This was reported by Oleksandr Vilkul, Head of the City's Defense Council.

According to him, air defense forces downed 22 Russian drones, though some hits still occurred in the Kryvyi Rih district.

"In Kryvyi Rih, the occupiers struck infrastructure facilities. More than ten hits caused fires, breaking out at the sites," the official reported.

The settlements of Avanhard, Verabove and Myrivske were left without electricity, he said. In Kryvyi Rih itself, Vilkul stresses, all services, municipal transport, hospitals, and social institutions are operating.

Head of the Kryvyi Rih District Military Administration Yevhen Sytnychenko added that Kryvyi Rih city was the focal point of the attack, while the rest of the district passed the night without emergencies.

“Russian terrorists attacked Kryvyi Rih, causing a fire at an industrial facility. Energy infrastructure was damaged,” the official reported.
