How China enables Russia’s war against Ukraine: Zelenskyy’s Office explains

China is engaging in «very strange planning» by offering support to Russia that undermines international law as well as critical trading and financial markets.

Mykhailo Podolyak, Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine said this on the FREEDOM television channel.

He asserted that it is precisely thanks to Beijing that Moscow retains the capacity to sustain its full-scale war against Ukraine. He contended that China has «overplayed its hand» in attempting to leverage the conflict to amplify its global political clout.

«This will lead to regrettable consequences, unfortunately — the world will be destabilized. It’s already chaotic and destabilized, and Russia continues to make a major contribution to that. And it is doing so only by using China’s resources, ” Podolyak stressed.

The Presidential Office adviser is convinced that a deliberate policy must be pursued toward China. If Beijing proves unwilling to help halt the escalation, then «harsh, maximally prohibitive sanctions need to be imposed against it.»
