The situation in Pokrovsk remains tough, as Russian forces attempt to infiltrate the city’s residential areas with small assault groups.

Fighting is ongoing in the centre of Pokrovsk — along the railway line that divides the city in half. However, the city is not a “grey zone.”

Military analyst Dmytro Sniehyrov said this during a broadcast of Ranok.LIVE.

Currently, fighting in Pokrovsk is over key points.

“The occupiers are trying to gain a foothold in the railway station buildings and to create an operational encirclement of the Ukrainian grouping in the so-called industrial area. Fighting also continues near School No. 2. There has been significant Russian advancement. But saying that Pokrovsk is entirely a "grey zone" does not reflect reality,” he said.

Sniehyrov also stresses that the Defence Forces of Ukraine are carrying out counter-sabotage measures. The occupiers' losses in a day amounted to 83 people.
