Russia is painting "Shahed" drones white, suggesting they are preparing for more frequent daytime operations, Pavlo Lakiichuk, Director of Security Programs at the “Strategy XXI” center, told Kyiv24.

He commented on a recent attack on Kyiv in which debris from drones fell in the city center, saying about 200 drones were used. They moved in tight formation and were launched during the day.

This is likely a new tactic designed to penetrate Ukraine’s frontline air defenses.

“To get through, basically. Daytime attacks are rare so far, but the "Shaheds" are painted white, indicating they are industrially designed for daytime strikes,” the expert said.

Lakiichuk believes such attacks will become more frequent.
