Russia’s army hit a civilian bus carrying miners from a DTEK facility after their shift, killing 12 people and injuring at least 16, according to updated information.

This was confirmed by DTEK CEO Maksym Timchenko.

He said Russians had attacked people returning home after work, calling it an unprovoked terrorist act against a purely civilian object.

Maksym Timchenko said the attack was the company’s largest single loss since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion and one of the darkest days in DTEK’s history.

«I have received horrific news that a bus carrying DTEK miners was attacked by Russian drones. At least 12 people were killed and another 16 were injured. Details of the tragedy are still being clarified, but it can already be said with certainty that this was a terrorist strike on a purely civilian object, for which there can be no justification, ” Timchenko said.

The company said that all families of those killed and injured would be provided with the necessary assistance.
