Russia will raze everything within 20–50 km of the border — EW specialist «Flash»
The military specialist warns of a new phase in the war: Russia’s total demolition of Ukrainian infrastructure within 50 km of the border.
Attack on electrical substation near Konotop
Russian occupiers will obliterate all Ukrainian infrastructure within 20–50 km of the border, aiming to render those areas unlivable for both civilians and troops. Ukraine's Defense Forces will do the same along the Russian frontier.
This comes from Serhiy Beskrestnov, a military specialist in electronic warfare and communications systems and head of the "Center for Radio Technologies," call sign "Flash," in his Telegram post.
"Now, alongside the main battlefronts, we're seeing "rear" fronts emerge. On these "rear" fronts, both sides will, 20–50 km from the border in either direction, wipe out all infrastructure to make those zones uninhabitable for civilians and military alike," "Flash" writes.
He specifies targeting telecommunications, energy grids, logistics hubs, and gas networks. “Flash” suggests that even if fighting on the main fronts stops, fighting on the "rear" fronts will continue.
What Ukraine needs for defense
Analyse footage of enemy strikes on key facilities and try to protect them.
Develop local early-warning systems for threats — for both military and civilian use.
Use modern technologies to detect enemy units (and their equipment) across the border and counterattack them.
Build electronic-warfare (EW) systems.
Build active counter-UAV systems (air defense, turrets, interceptors, mobile fire groups, etc.).
Establish protected logistics chains and shelters for troops in these areas.
The military specialist stresses that inaction will let these rear fronts creep deeper. Instead, he noted, the farther Defense Forces push the enemy back, "the less our rear shifts forward."
