Russian «Shahed» drone slams into residential building: Fatalities reported, infant among wounded

During an attack on Kryvyi Rih, the Russian army struck a residential building. Preliminary information confirms two deaths and several injuries, reported Oleksandr Vilkul, Head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council.

The strike ignited a fire at the scene. Emergency services have been deployed, and a search and rescue operation is underway.

«Hit on a residential building. There are dead and wounded. Emergency rescue operation has begun,» officials stated.

Rescuers, medics, and law enforcement are working on-site.

Casualties and injuries

The strike on Kryvyi Rih has claimed two lives: a 43-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman.
Four others were injured, including a 9-month-old baby girl.

«A nine-month-old girl has had her leg severed — she has already been evacuated to the hospital by ambulance and is receiving all necessary care, ” Vilkul wrote.

The infant is reported to be in intensive care in critical condition.

A 23-year-old woman was also hospitalized in moderate condition. Two other women, aged 45 and 74, are receiving outpatient treatment.
