Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov reported that Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia during the day on June 26. The hostile strikes ignited fires and caused casualties.
At around 12:00 p.m., he issued a warning regarding the threat of Russian guided aerial bombs targeting the region. Shortly after, powerful explosions rocked the area, sending thick plumes of smoke over the regional capital.
"The smoke currently visible to Zaporizhzhia residents is the aftermath of the enemy attack," Fedorov posted online.
Initial reports confirm that at least six people have been injured in the strikes. Emergency medical teams are on the scene providing urgent care.
Fedorov also published photos showing the aftermath of the attack on Zaporizhzhia. The images depict burning structures and vehicles, alongside wounded and distressed civilians.
